Poster Presentation and Preparation
-
The Poster Sessions will be located in the Grand Ballroom at the Marriott, the conference hotel. They will take place on Monday afternoon (16 April) and Tuesday afternoon (17 April).
Poster Size
The poster must not exceed 48 inches (122 cm) on either side to fit in the allocated space on the assigned poster board. This size is consistent with ISO paper size A0 (841 mm x 1189 mm or 33.1 in x 46.8 in).
Poster ID
All poster contributions to the conference will have a program code whereby the first two letters correspond to the day of presentation, Monday or Tuesday (MO or TU). The third is P, indicating a poster presentation. The fourth gives the location G, for the Grand Ballroom. Each poster board is numbered with a Poster ID corresponding to the program code.
Mounting the Posters
All poster locations will be mounted for display and perusal throughout the workshop. Posters can be mounted during the opening reception (Sunday 17:00-19:00), during registration Monday morning (Monday 07:30-08:30), or during Monday lunch break (Monday 12:20-13:50). Posters must be manned throughout their entire designated session Monday or Tuesday afternoon, and may be removed any time after the end of the Tuesday poster session. All necessary material for poster display (pins, etc) will be provided.
Authors are reminded that papers without a corresponding poster will be excluded from the Proceedings. Furthermore, the Program Committee reserves the right to refuse for publication work not properly presented in the poster sessions.
Presenting a Poster in the Proceedings
If you would like your poster presented in the conference proceedings, please convert the source file of your poster (e.g. the PowerPoint file) to PDF and name the file following our naming convention - Paper-ID_poster.pdf. For example, if your Paper ID is MOPG001, then name the file MOPG001_poster.pdf. In the SPMS file upload menu select "Poster" as the file type.
Log in to your BIW2012 SPMS account to upload a poster file.
Questions concerning poster preparation, paper preparation or electronic submission of files may be addressed to Todd Satogata.
